Moby dick and friends
Wasn't to happy with the scan de saturised a little bit, you can follow the evolution in the previous post.
Got tagged by Alina 6 Weird things about me: well weirdish
1. I have had a lot of nicknames in my days, the one I was most proud of was the Idiot. My friends from architect school used to call me that, I think it was a term of endearment.
2. I bake all my bread, love the feel of dough.
3. I got Daltonism, this has always made me insecure when it comes to coloring things.
4. I have a habit of exchanging words, in my head the sentence sound ok, but when it comes out some words are wrong, I don't hear it myself but people corrects me. Initially I started arguing, but now I'm aware of the problem.
5.I like to run, and when I run I like to listen to audio books, now I think about certain part of books when I re-visit the places. In this hill William Tecumseh Shermans children died, here Marius and Sulla first meet, or turnpike did his most evil deed under this viaduct.
6. I once went to a dance class, my feet where not as fluent as my pen though (unfortunately)
It's just marvelous. I want to jump on board and join the crew!
ReplyDeleteMan... Your a very, very talented young man!!!!
ReplyDeleteEvery day I "run" to the net to see new things!!!
And you have inspired me to draw!! Just whith Ink!!
One of this days I'll start to post my draws!!!
I assume that you are young, but even if your not, your work are!!!!
ReplyDelete(I'm sorry for my Inglish)
The word transpositions are called Spoonerisms
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go so far to call myself young anymore, but I used to be Flávia.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellis, always nice having a name for your idiosyncrasies.
Freakin love that whaling ship.
ReplyDeleteNow, what about those Save-The-Whales folks pulling up alongside in that busted up dingy with battering ram and laser cannon attachments?
Keep up the great work Mattias!
WOW!!!I LOVE IT!!!AMAZING work Mattias!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Mattias! The work on the work is a treat to look at.
ReplyDeleteHow big is your illustration?
I love it!
Ted, I think that these whales can take care of them self.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alexei.
Stef, it almost fits in my A4 scanner, but no quite, maybe 35 cm high
Crickey!! That's the kind of pic that just makes me want to pack up my pencils and go home ...LOL
ReplyDeleteBrilliant work yet agan!!!
Beautiful- i get the feeling that you had a lot of fun drawing this!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking at the previous stages of the drawing, too.
Man, tell me something: How many drawings can you make in a week? You have an amazing production! With high quality!
ReplyDeleteThanks all, well Marcelo that's hard to say, drawing for me at the moment is a way of staying sane, I work all day at a rather lack-lustre game company. I manage perhaps one drawing each day, but not as elaborate as this one every day.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Mattias, thanks for sharing your weird stories!! They are fun!! Just curious, do you make character shape bread? Err ... fir example, make a coco or one of your little animal character bread and then talk to it and then eat it .... :P HE!! HE!!
ReplyDeleteThe boat is awesome!! Andthe coloring is beautiful!
What about Gammelsmekis? Isn't that you favourite nickname?
ReplyDeleteOh my, Matthias!
ReplyDeleteThis is just prodigious. It looks perfect, and that's not a word I throw around.
I get uncomfortable when movie stars share bits about their lives. I prefer that they remain mythological. So it was with great trepidation that I read your responses to the meme. The dough! The books on tape! The dance class! I am so happy that you have retained your place in my mythological map.
I'm with Rico - this blows me away
ReplyDeletethanks everybody
ReplyDeleteI'll think about that Alina, but it's rather to close to cannibalism for my tastes.
Technically you are eating the bread not the little characters though .... HE ! HE!! You may feel less guilty, if it's the shape of a character which have been giving you much headache and frustration ... if you happen to have one of those bad characters ... :P *Evil me*
ReplyDeleteI'm at a loss for words ... well, ok this is Brilliant. And thank you for showing us the progress though I am now even more awestruck by your talent if that's at all possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrana
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea Alina that sound doable
And great I didn't burst the bubble PotatoPrint ;)
ReplyDeleteI listen to audiobooks while I work and then when I look over certain pictures I've done, I remember bits from the audiobook, I always think it's so weird!
