Charles de Gaulle - Praha - Arlanda - 8 Hours

Just came back from France (I will try to post some photos of the event tomorrow. I had a wonderful time in Clermont-Ferrand (did not see that much of the city though, the days where packed. Unfortunately the books I brought with me sold out on the first day, but if you want a signed copy I still have some copies over at my Etsy Shop. The flight home was rather convoluted as I flew over Prague (and had a five hour wait there), but it made it possible for me to finally give a better estimate how long time each spread takes to do (that was the most common question on the conference). This image clocked in under just eight hours.

Compressing Hogarth

Just a sign of how effective an Illustrator of today are compared to an Artist working in the 18th century, it took William Hogarth two images (Beer street and Gin lane) what I managed to fit into one spread. Mark that I do not take any side in the Gin versus Beer debate. Leaving for France today for the Rendez vous Carnet de voyage conference in Clermont-Ferrand, so I will not post anything until I return next tuesday.

A selection of birds takes turns in trying to wake me up each morning, starting with the gentle singings of the humming birds ending with the northern mockingbird.

Having depleted all the online courses on iTunesU. I now use a system of intern professors, each taking their turn enlightening me.

As all professional illustrators knows the quality of the draughtsman is not measured by the lines he draws but on the amount of pens he has. As you can see I'm a very good draughtsman

Coming up with new posts for my mediocre blog is much easier since I installed the motive wheel, I made mine myself but I hear you can get them from IKEA now.
