We have gone away on vacation, to this place Stora Kornö outside of Lysekil on the west coast of Sweden. My father was born here and was part of the last generation that was brought up here, nowadays it's only populated in the summer.
I really like this. One question: the main building on the left, with the ladder on the wall seems to have been extended upwards. Is that what what happened? I ask because there are near identical houses in Japan near where my wife's family live.

Yes Andy that's probably true, getting material to the Island was (and is) hard so reuse is a rule
