I used quite a lot of gold color on a commission work I did recently, it worked in the sketchbook as well. The ink refused to dry though when I tried to draw over the paint
Unfortunately that wonderful American Eel ink only dries on xylene based media (paper). I love the ink, and thanks to you it's the only thing I'll put in my fountain pens now, but it does dry a bit slowly and only on paper. Did you eventually use different ink on the gold paint? India ink in a dip pen would have worked pefectly.
No as it happened it dried eventually, and the ink doesn't work on all paper if it's to much cotton in it, it will refuse to dry as well. I'll use indian ink for future gold painting :)
A very fine goblet. I like the people in the base.
