Wow, your attention to detail is astounding, and the overall silhouette is still very easily read. Also, I love the whimsical subject matter of your sketches.
In my childhood (way before your time) there were places called "The Horn and Hardart Automat". Your wonderful creature is an updated version.
We used to decide what we wanted, put a dime in the slot, the little window could then be opened and the food removed. I loved going there for lunch.
