On dragsters and houseboats

Today more from my vacation, medieva dragster proto-type, complete with driver and engine And a fenician houseboat, with Swedish influences. Put everything in frames for the exhibition last night not my favorite work, will try to post pictures from the show on the blog.

  1. We'd need to work out the horsepower to make it truly impressive - calculations are as follows:
    HP is a unit of power equal to about 746 watts.
    Humans - max: 0.3 horsepower
    An elephant could probably win in a tug of war against 500 humans who will be generating 150 HP (experiment pending).
    So, it's clear that one elephant has power greater than 150HP, x that by 2 and you get an average of 300HP. Impressive figures, considering today only cars like the BMW 2006 M3 Coupe hit 330HP, and the incredible Audi RS4 tops out at 420 HP.
    Still, not sure what the fuel consumption figures were for your drag racer....

  2. Wow, Jason answered my question! But from 0-60 I don't think it would be very fast, those elephants look pretty relaxed.

  8. Thanks Arezoo I'll try to keep the stuff low on carbs and high on protein, haw a large project I have to finish and an upcoming deadline at work, but will try to post thing everyday anyway, I'm saving up material, for the posts.
