Survival of the fittest

47 different species of birds, last spread in my third large moleskine. I bought two new ones this is getting to be quite an expensive hobby.

Hobby?! Don't worry, I've asked Sir Elton to send some of his gold plated Moleskines - the show must go on!

  2. We used to have a picture of Elton John on our refrigerator, it was not from his slimmer day's, he reminded me of a walrus. It never failed to amuse me, can't find the picture unfortunately but this is probably from the same time

Hm, this Moleskine is sponsored by Sir Elton John, like the sound of that.

Gosh, that face would stop me raiding the fridge!
BTW, surely this is not a good time of year for turkeys to look fit and well?

  4. You're probably right but try telling a turkey that ;O)

Oj, vad du kan teckna! tar mig friheten att skriva på svenska då jag ser att du är från Göteborg, liksom jag! Hittade hit från en quiltblog!

  6. aaah, great birds!!
i've never own a moleskine.. i only draw on old paper at the job!.. don't know why.. I'm "shy" to draw on a "perfect" page!

  7. Tack Gunnel, inflyttad Göteborgare! en Stockholmares ränder går aldrig ur.
Kasta, well thinking of a blank page as perfect is probably not the best way of starting ;)
Are you aware of the concept of entropy, it doesn't matter what you do the amount of disorder is always increasing, so start destroying some blank pages!
You can tell that I'm bored at work?

  8. I work in a bookshop that sells those moleskin notebooks. Even with a discount they are expensive.

BTW - I used to have a Cairn terrier too called Bobby who looked just like Asta but more grey. He would mark everything as his territory. I swear all he thought was 'mine, that's mine....and that!' LOL. I'm sure he is trying to mark all of the clouds as his while you are reading this. He was named after the famous Greyfriars Bobby but he looked like Toto.

  9. I finished the drawing, I'm gonna post tomorrow,I hope that you enjoy the homage.
    Thank you Mattias!!!

    Love the survival fittest drawing!!!

Oy! Your imagination is so prodigious. I like the subtle variety and the disposition on the page.

I purchased a smallish Moleskin drawing journal and then felt paralyzed when I tried to draw in it. Right now I'm more of a scrap paper artist.
